ABOUT:
LiF:E is a VN/RPG game, developed by fans for fans within a team of passionate Comfydants, fans of Vtuber Fulgur Ovid of NIJISANJI EN.
The idea was proposed and initiated at the end of August 2022 by Bai aka XxNekumaxX of the Fulgur Ovid’s fan discord server.

The game is non-profit and is done as a fan-project, which means the contributors do not get any financing and will not get paid after, and are doing it as a passion/fan project for the player’s to enjoy.

COMMISSIONS OVERVIEW

Generally, I make music by first notating it in a notation programme, and after that, I work with the MIDI files, which I edit, mix and master using the DAW samples to produce the finished product.
If it is noted in the commission that a real life sound is necessary, it will be discussed in greater detail individually.

Purpose of commission:

• Background music for live stream and animation (ca. 1 min 30s - 3 min)
• Original soundtrack for video game and animation
• Short form tracks for your personal use (ca. 30s - 1 min 30s)
• Arrangement of your own work or permitted work

These are some possible examples of commissions, but you can view the Portfolio~ page, to listen to more of my music and get to know my style better!

Programme's I use:

I currently use Cubase for composing, mixing and mastering, but also use Dorico to write out sheet music, if necessary.
(The sheet music can be included in the commission, if agreed too).

Process:

PHASE 1 – Notation:
• The commission is payed in FULL before start of work, using Paypal
• After I have received the payment, I will start the notation programme draft of the piece
• When the draft is done, I will send you an .m4a/.mp3 audio file from the notation programme:
>> you can tell me, if there are any places you would like to change, instrumentation, etc.
>> the changes can be done only 2x during this stage
>> if the changes are necessary, another week is given for the change

PHASE 2:
• After initial audio is approved, I will begin the mixing process
• After the mixing is finished, I will send in a .m4a/.mp3 audio file for you to check
>> you can tell me, if there are any places you would like to change, instrumentation, etc.
>> the changes can be done only 2x during this stage
>> if the changes are necessary, another week is given for the change

FINAL PHASE:
• After the mix is approved, I will begin the final stage of MASTERING
>> no more changes are possible!!

• The final product will be sent to you via DRIVE/DROPBOX in .m4a and .wav format (48kHZ, stereo, 128dB)*NOTICE:
• Time of production may vary depending on my schedule and vastness of other commission's! Thank you for understanding
• The duration of each phase will be discussed and set AFTER we establish all the elements of the commission
• I will do my best to work as fast as possible and make you the best work I can

! IMPORTANT INFORMATION !

• We will always discuss more details and preferences over e-mail or, if necessary, over Zoom or Discord call
• The pricing depends on the sitting and the duration, and will be discussed individually
• If you leave the number of instruments to my choice, we will discuss the pricing, and I can consider your financial possibilities• The time frame of work is for the whole process – from notation to finalised piece
• I may ask for additional time, if I see it necessary due to complexity
• If the work is not finished by the agreed work time frame, you can request a refund, if not stated otherwise
• I can decline a commission, if I deem it inappropriate
• PLEASE, let’s respect one another, be understanding, communicative, and we will both have a great time working with each other))

By commissioning me you agree to the following:

I, as the Composer …

• Maintain the rights to post my work in any form.
• Will be giving you the auxiliary right to the piece – you, as the commissioner, can use the piece for the stated purpose
• Maintain the right to post the commissioned work on my own social media for advertising – in full or partially, depending on our agreement
• Maintain the right to turn down any commission.

You, as the Client ...

• May NOT share your commission for a profit
• May NOT shared the commissioned piece with third party distributors or for any other use other then the one stated in the commission form, ONLY if stated otherwise
• MAY edit, crop, and resize the audio file I give you. HOWEVER, I require you still credit me for the piece
• MAY post the work to your own website/social media, but should credit or link back to me
• MAY requests small edits and corrections to finished pieces. Large edits and redraws must be paid for –> read below, under “Process”

Before commissioning …

Before commissioning, please compile materials and your ideas, consider listening to my previous works to get a better understanding of my work, and do not be afraid to contact me, if any questions or concerns arise.
The necessary information to include in your commission form – read more about it on the Terms of Service page – will be listed below.

Materials to provide:

• references to the pieces – youtube links, pictures, written explanation, colour pallate, other media, etc.
• preferred style and genre – can also be a time period
• preferred sitting or instrumentation
• additional details that may aid the process

Genre, style and Sitting:

I specialise in classical composition, frequenting in a combination of polyphonic sound with a nice sprinkle of jazz harmonies and cinematographic ambiance. I do also add sythnwave and electronic music.
Sittings range from solo pieces, duos, to chamber music and bigger symphonic works.

Payment and Cancelation Policy:

• Payment is via Paypal Invoice
• Commission begins only when payment is received
• I will wait one full week for payment before throwing out your slot
• If you cancel the commission BEFORE start of the commission process, you will receive the payment back in full
• If you cancel the commission AFTER the approval of the Notation Draft and BEFORE the start of the Mixing Stage, you will receive back 60% of the payment
• AFTER the Mixing Stage starts, you cannot cancel the commission
• If you are not responsive for more than 5 days without prior notice, I will have to cancel your commission, and you will not receive back any compensation
